Ronald Reagan was fond of saying, "It isn't so much that liberals are ignorant. It's just that they know so many things that aren't so."

One of the things that liberals "know that isn't so" is that conservative talk radio hosts are all crude people who routinely hurl racist, sexist, homophobic and other epithets over the airwaves. This would explain why the layers of fact-checkers and editors at The New Yorker felt no need to verify the accuracy of the following sentence in the opening paragraph of an essay ("HOW ROUSSEAU PREDICTED TRUMP") by Pankaj Mishra: "In India, Hindu supremacists have adopted Rush Limbaugh’s favorite epithet 'libtard' to channel righteous fury against liberal and secular élites." But blogress and University of Wisconsin law professor Ann Althouse did — and forced a correction.

In a classic case of media bias by omission, CNN Monday took extra care to leave out a crucial part of their reports on the Milwaukee police shooting. After a black police officer fatally shot Sylville Smith Sunday, after he refused to put down his gun, riots and violence ensued in the city. Smith’s family was eager to talk to the media and his sister Sherelle had a message that should have been covered and condemned by the media. Instead, CNN decided to air her words but curtail them before they became controversial.

The New York Times on Saturday gave Rabbi Mark Sameth a platform to boost his radical interpretation of Hebrew scripture — that the God of Abraham is a "He/She," and that many in the ancient world practiced "gender fluidity." Sameth rehashed his eight-year-old theory that "the God of Israel...was understood by its earliest worshipers to be a dual-gendered deity." He also contended that Adam, Eve, and other biblical figures had "well-expressed gender fluidity."

Poor Bert and Ernie just got called gay on national television! On tonight's edition of The Match Game on ABC, contestants were asked to fill in the following question: "'Sesame Street' is being rocked by a tabloid scandal. Instead of a rubber ducky, Bert and Ernie were photographed in the bathtub playing with BLANK."

What does it take for lefty Democrats to be convinced that the U.S. should intervene in a foreign country to protect innocent life? As we learned in BrainDead’s “The Path to War Part One: The Gathering Political Storm,” it is a warm and fuzzy picture of a baby seal. Those big eyes did what human exploding heads couldn’t – brought a female lefty to tears.

Donald Trump has, to borrow a phrase from Barack Obama, changed the trajectory of the GOP, contended Talking Points Memo editor and publisher Marshall in a Thursday post. “The white ethno-nationalist party which Trump has brought out of the shadows and mobilized,” wrote Marshall, “is now and will continue to be the Republican party…This seems like a transformative event.” Even if “committed Trump supporters” constitute only “10% to 20%” of the party, argued Marshall, it doesn’t matter: “If Trumpism were simply a loud and radical faction within the GOP, there would be some comparable faction opposing it…But there's not. In other words, the size of the Trumpite faction within the GOP (and I'd argue it's quite large) is beside the point because it demonstrably rules the GOP.”

Shock! Hollywood is filled with hyprocrites and less-than-thoughtful lefties. But some take the cake. Thanks to a site called the Internet Firearms Database, here are a few big-mough gun-grabbers, and some of their favorite guns to grab on-set.

Arianna Huffington, who in 2010 said Americans were voting republican with their “lizard brains,” announced on Aug 11 that she would step down as Editor-in-Chief at her left-wing website.

Christians in the Middle East, Africa and South Asia are suffering massive, sustained and very bloody persecution at the hands of Muslim extremists. The three broadcast networks are reluctant to report on it, let alone call the atrocity what it is (and what the Obama administration has admitted it is): genocide

It would appear that being a Washington Post columnist means never having to say you're sorry — even if you are a member of the paper's editorial board.

Beginning on July 7, the Post's Jonathan Capehart set out to advance the agenda of a group called Freedom for All Americans (FFAA), an outfit which believes it has proven that there is, in Capehart's words, "a 'vast right-wing conspiracy' out to deny" lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender Americans "their humanity and dignity." In a follow-up column, Capehart commmitted a pathetic error which the paper has failed to appropriately correct.

Next time there’s a mass shooting along the lines of Sandy Hook or Charleston – to say nothing of Jihadi massacres like Orlando – and the media are blaming everyone but the shooter, remember that they themselves may be plenty culpable.
